Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Vera Drudi

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Vera Drudi was born in Bellaria-Igea Marina, Rimini, Italy on May 23, 1897. She was an actress active mainly in the seventies, she played a considerable number of films, many of which were of relative value, often settling for small or very small parts: exemplary is her appearance in the film “Il secondo tragico Fantozzi” (1976), by Luciano Salce, where, despite being credited in the credits, she has no lines. Even though starting her acting career late she still racked up more than35 film and television appearances from 1959 to 1980.

She also worked in theater and television: she was, for example, the wife of Mangiafuoco in the television drama ‘The Adventures of Pinocchio’ (1972), by Luigi Comencini.

Vera died in Bologna, Italy on April 4, 1995 at the age of 97.

Vera Drudi appeared in two Spaghetti westerns: “Faccia a facia” (Face to Face) as Mrs. Watson/Lee in 1967 and “Tutti fratelli nel west… per parte di padre” (Where the Bullets Fly) as a wedding guest in 1972.
