Spaghetti Western Trivia ~ Another copied image for a Spaghetti western video cover

 

We’re used to seeing American western paperback novels used as either inspiration or direct copies for early Spaghetti western posters. In this case it’s the cover for the Greek video release of 1967’s “Turn… I’ll Kill You” aka “Winchester Bill”. It shows obviously Fernando Sancho in the background but the gunman in the foreground doesn’t look much like the film’s star, William Wyler. The drawing of Wyler was actually copied from a still of John Wayne in “Red River” from 1948.
