Little Known Spaghetti Western actors ~ ‘La Chichimeca’

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Ysabel Vázquez Esteva was born in Juchitán, Oaxaca, on August 30, 1905 in Juchitán, Oaxaca, Mexico. Known in the artistic world as Isabel Vázquez, ‘La Chichimeca’, she was a theater and film actress, from the so-called Golden Age, always with brief participations in each of the 85 films she participated in between 1947 and 1988.

Isabel Vázquez died in Mexico City, on November 29, 1990, at the age of 85, from a stroke.

As La Chichimeca’ she appeared in only one Spaghetti western and that was as a train passenger in 1966’s “La guerrillera de Villa” (The Warriors of Pancho Villa).
