Who Are Those Singers & Musicians ~ I Cantori Moderni

 

I Cantori Moderni was a musical group founded by Alessandro Alessandroni in 1962 as an evolution of the Caravels Quartet.

Alessandro Alessandroni , known for his great ability in whistling, founded the group in 1962 With the new name and in the form of an octet, the group participated in the recording of many records made for the Italian RCA.

In addition to Alessandroni's wife, Giulia De Mutiis , who in addition to the group also pursued a career as a soloist, they sang in the group, among others: the soprano Edda Dell'Orso , who will later take up a solo career; Augusto Giardino, who joined the group in 1966; Franco Cosacchi, Nino Dei, Enzo Gioieni and Gianna Spagnulo. They also collaborated in the creation of many soundtracks, made by Alessandroni, Ennio Morricone, Francesco De Masi and many other Italian composers.
