Spaghetti Western Trivia Morricone and “Drummer of Vengeance”

Although Ennio Morricone is credited for scoring “Drummer of Vengeance” in 1971 but it was actually written by him for the film “Hellbenders” (1967) and lifted, uncredited from that film to be used again.

  1. "Drummer Of Vengeance" is about a gunfighter by the name of Roger Haycock who uses his late son's toy drummer in order to engage his adversaries in a gunfight in revenge for the death of his wife and son. Their job is to wait for the drum to stop beating then go for their guns. Haycock also uses clever disguises such as dressing up as an Indian during a Wild West show, posing as a clergyman at a church, pretending to be a doctor, and even blending in with the U.S. Cavalry. By using these disguises AND his son's toy drummer he is able to get the upper hand in every duel and finally get his revenge. What a great movie!
