Who Are Those Guys? ~ Duilio Cruciani

 

Known as a child actor Duilio Cruciani was born in Rome on January 8, 1958. He made his debut in 1969 alongside Gianni Morandi in the film “Faccia da schiaffi, directed by Armando Crispino . He then became the "son" of Anna Magnani and Marcello Mastroianni in “Correva the year of grace 1870”, by Alfredo Giannetti and appeared in Lucio Fulci 's “Non si sevizia un duck”. Later it was directed by, among others Duccio Tessari, Sergio Martino and Enzo G. Castellari.

Duilio was also active in the police genre in the films “L'uomo senza memoria” (The Man Without Memory) and “Il giustiziere sfida la città (The Executioner Challenges the City, the latter directed by Umberto Lenzi, in which Cruciani played the role of Luigino Scalia, with Tomas Milian , Mario Piave and Maria Fiore.

The last film in which he appeared was “ L'educatore autorizzato (The Authorized Educator).

He died at the age of 26 from a heroin overdose in a room of the daytime hotel of Rome’s Termini station in 1984.
