50th Anniversary of the premier of “Light the Fuse... Sartana is Coming”

Today marks the 50th anniversary of the release of one of the best of the Sartana films directed by Anthony Ascott (Giuliano Carnimeo) and starring the real Sartana Gianni Garko, the beautiful Susan Scott (Nieves Navarro) from the “Big Gundown”, and Piero Lulli. This time Grande Full (Lulli) an unscrupulous adventurer, is in prison under trumped up charges of murdering his partner Johnson, who had been shot by a bandit. A gunman named Sartana (Garko) is determined to free Grande Full in order for him to reveal the place where the stolen $500,000 is hidden so he helps him escape from prison. The money, however, is also the concern of several other people, who on several occasions unsuccessfully try to kill Sartana, while only Belle (Navarro), the widow of Johnson seems willing to help. After eliminating his opponents, Sartana becomes aware that the murderer, Johnson, was killed with the complicity of Great Full and Belle. He discovers the cache of gold, and achieves the dual purpose of punishing those responsible for the operation, the bandit and takes possession of the stolen goods.
