The French actress and humorist Sylvie Joly, suffering
with Parkinson's disease for several years, died Friday, September 4 at the age
of 80 years, said her husband, Pierre Vitry. "She died of cardiac arrest
late night at our home in Paris," he said. Joly born Sylvie Marie Lucie
Joly in Paris on October 28, 1934, was
first a lawyer before turning to comic career, among her best-known
performances include Cigale et la Joly, Ne riez jamais d’une femme qui tombe,
La Vie, C’est pas de la rigolade and Best of. Joly appeared as Ma Billy in The
Daltons (2004).
