We continue our search for locations for “A Few Dollars
for Django”. Deputy Smitty explains the situation facing Miles City with farmer
Trevor Norton on one side trying to keep the peace with all the ranchers and
rancher Amos Bransbury trying to stir up trouble saying the farmers and
ranchers can’t live side by side in peace. After meeting the judge and then
mayor Regan goes to the saloon where he meets Norton and Bransbury and hears
their side of the predicament. Suddenly the judge barges in and tells Regan a
crowd has formed in front of the sheriff’s office attempting to break in. Regan
leaves to attend to the situation.
Little remains of the film set used for “A Few Dollars
for Django” today. Many other Euro-westerns were filmed at this site but what
does remain in the way of foundations and crumbling walls are covered with
briars and berry bushes now used for cattle grazing. Since most of the
Euro-western sets were full sets the interior scenes were filmed within the
designated buildings.
