Piero Vida was born Pietro Vida on August 5, 1938 in
Venice, Veneto, Italy. He was an Italian film supporting actor, director and
screenwriter. Vida appeared in over 60 films and TV appearances between 1959
and 1987. He was born in Venice, Italy and died in Rome, Italy. Among his films
were 8 Euro-westerns from “Payment in Blood” (1967) to “The Genius” (1975). One
of Piero’s best remembered works was the part of Bestias in the film “Nel nome
del padre” (1972) by Marco Bellocchio.
Vida also wrote the screenplay for the film “La vita di scorta” (1975) and
directed “La vita di scorta” in 1986.
Vida died in Rome, Italy on October 11, 1987 at the young age of 49. Today we remember Piero Vida on what would have been his 75th birthday.
