Bruno Corbucci was born on October 23, 1931 in Rome, Italy. Bruno was the younger brother of producer, director, screenwriter Sergio Corbucci. Maybe not as well known as his brother he shared his passion for film and entertainment. Bruno began as a screenwriter and wrote many films specializing in comedies with Toto and followed it throughout his career. His directing debut was with "James Tont operazione U.N.O." in 1965. He was involved in over 135 films in his career among them 13 Euro-westerns including "Django" (1966), "$4.00 for Revenger", "The Great Silence" (both 1968) and finishing with "Bad Kids of the West" in 1973. Corbucci used the aliases Frank B. Corlish, and Dean Whitcomb. In the 1980s he directed Bud Spencer in such films as ""Dog and Cat" (1983), "Miami Supercops" (1985) and "Superfantagenio" (1986). Bruno drifted into television direction before his death on Saeptember 7, 1996 in Rome. Today we remember Bruno Corbucci on what would have been his 80th birthday.
