Julio Buchs Garcia was born on March 10, 1926 in Madrid, Spain. He was the son of director Jos
é Buchs [1896-1973]. Julio started his career in 1948 as an assistant director on "Aventuras de Don Juan Mairena". He started his directing career in 1962 with a short documentary called "Salto de Castrej
ón". During his career Buchs wrote and directed three Euro-westerns, "Django Does Not Forgive" (1965), "A Few Bullets More" (1967) and "A Bullet for Sandoval" (1969). Shortly before his death from a heart attack in Madrid on January 20, 1973 he wrote the story and screenplay for "Evil Eye" which was not released until 1975. Today we remember Julio Buchs on what would have been his 85
th birthday.
