Who are Those Guys? - Andrea Balestri
Andrea Balestri was born on September 1, 1963 in Pisa, Italy. He was a child actor known for his performance in the 1972 Italian TV series “The Adventures of Pinocchio” directed by Luigi Camencini. It was said, Andrea was chosen as one out of 3,000 children that auditioned for the part. His TV and film career was short lived and he continues to live in his home town never moving to Rome. After his schooling he enlisted in the Italian Air Battalion “Thunderbolt” and later became a construction worker. He’s occasionally asked to appear on TV and discuss his experiences as a child actor. He wrote a book I, the Comencini Pinocchio released in 2008 an homage to the film and director, with behind the scene photographs and his relationships with the other actors involved in the production. Today he is involved in musical theater and local Tuscany TV programs. Balestri appeared as Kid Terror in the 1973 Euro-western “Bad Kids of the West” directed by Tony Good (Tonino Ricci).
