Alberto Grimaldi was born in Naples, Italy on March 28, 1925. Originally a lawyer he became the most famous Italian western producer during the Spaghetti Western Era. He produced 15 westerns such as “For a Few Dollars More” (1964), “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” (1966), “The Big Gundown” (1966), “Face to Face” (1967) “The Mercenary” (168), The Sabata trilogy and “Man of the East”. He was still active into the early 2000s producing, along with his son Maurizio, “Gangs of New York” in 2002. Today we celebrate Alberto Grimaldi's 85th birthday.
