This film series found real success in the United States. Filmed in the Camargue region of France it featured beautiful scenery and a series of great stunts involving horses and trains. It was one of the first times a rider was filmed climbing aboard a train while transferring from a galloping horse. Also fights on the roof of the train were carried out while the train was moving.
I'd like to see them. Are they excerpted on youtube?Endless action is my cup of tea.Leave it to the french to invent galloping transfers to a train before americans.
ReplyDeleteRaymie - I can find nothing under the film title, or Arizona Bill or Joe Hamman. These series of films would be perfect for your tube as each one was only 5-10 minutes in length much like the serials in later film. I'm sure any of the series that is still around are in a French museum.
