Ribanna is the most beautiful daughter of the tribe of the Assiniboins: She’s called the Rose of Quicourt and the young apache chief Winnetou has lost his heart to her. But the happiness is not long-lasting, because the gangster Tim Finnety, who has subjected the tribe of the Poncas by force and now leads them under the name Parranoh as a white chief, wants Ribanna for his wife. But she rejects him. Parranoh is determined by this: if Ribanna does not decide for him, she will die. Thus, between the mysterious oil field in New Venango and the fortress Niobrara, which was shaken by this unrest, a struggle for life and death arose. In the middle of the fracas the fox hunter Old Firehand arrives. He, too, has fallen in love with Ribanna. So Winnetou and Old Firehand are not only in a dangerous adventure, but they are faced with the biggest test of their friendship and the most difficult decision of their lives.
