In the Yellowstone area, deep in the Rocky Mountains, White Soldiers attack two Indian tribes. The red men swear revenge: Every paleface now faces death! The bear hunter Baumann shall be the first to die, he has lived in Indian country for years. He is a friend of all the Indians, Heavy Moccasin, the military chief of the Sioux Ogellallah, begins his cruel plan. The bear hunter is to be bound to the stake on the day of the full moon on "Hell Mouth", a huge crater. Fortunately Old Shatterhand has heard of what the Ogallala Sioux Chief plans. Nevertheless Baumann falls in the fray into the hands of the Indians. The Blood Brothers (Winnetou and Old Shatterhand) join with Martin Bauman, the son of the bear hunter, and are at his heels. Mary-Lou Carson, a young reporter from the city of Silvertown, accompanies them in this dangerous adventure. She has lost her heart to Martin. By carelessness Martin also falls into the power of Heavy Moccasin - and with it the Westmann Hobble Frank from Saxony and his two quirky friends: Jemmy and Long Davy. In the end it finally looks hopeless for the prisoners and all is lost. Between steaming craters on an Indian trial they are held. But then two men emerge from the deep undergrowth and save the Baumanns: Winnetou and Old Shatterhand.

The Bad Segeberg play was televised on German TV on Septembert 26, 2004.
