Spaghetti Western Locations

We continue on our search for filming locations for “Return of the Seven”. After forcing Lorca and his men to abandon the church construction site, Chris and the others discuss what to do next as they know Lorca will return.

A replica of the church was constructed on a sound stage at the Estudios de Chamartin de la Rosa
Madrid was owned by Samuel Bronston and was rented by the Mirisch Production Company for use on the interior scenes. With the scenes filmed there being at night and with rain it was very effective and edited into the rest of the film it worked very well.

For a more detailed view of this site and other Spaghetti Western locations please visit my friend Captain Douglas’ excellent website: http://www.western-locations-spain.com                               and Yoshi Yasuda’s location site: http://y-yasuda.net/film-location.htm

[Captain Douglas has dedicated and entire section of his website to “The Return of the Seven” with behind the scenes photos and stories, highly recommended.]
