Anna Maria Orso was born on December 11, 1938 in Naples, Campania, Italy. Orso had a brilliant career which lasted 50 years. Her film debut began in 1963 with the film "The Bible" directed by John Huston and since then she has appeared with a large number of Italian and international names being directed by: Pasquale Squitieri , Alberto Bevilacqua, Marco Bellocchio , Max Troisi , Giovanni Veronesi , Febbraro Diego , Wim Wenders, Jose Dajane , Riccardo Donna Luciano Odorisio .
She appeared in numerous collaborations with foreign countries such as "Angels" in America (2003) and shad the chance to appear alongside Al Pacino and Meryl Streep, also with Wes Anderson, Steve Zissou (2004), Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Cate Blanchett, Anjelica Huston, Willem Dafoe and Michael Gambon. Anna Maria appeared in two Euro-westerns: “Day of Anger”and “Gentleman Killer” (both 1967).
Orso died in Rome, Italy on August 14, 2012 at the age of 73.
