Ringo, a gunslinger with the face of an angel, joins a group of bandits pretending to be an outlaw hunted by the sheriff. In fact he has been hired by the guardian of law and order, in exchange for his freedom and a percentage of the money stolen from the local bank if he retrieves the money and captures the outlaws. The outlaw gang has taken refuge at the hacienda of Major Clyde Brown and his daughter and a battle of wits takes place between Ringo, the sheriff and the outlaw leader Sancho.
