At Marble City an Indian pays for whiskey with nuggets of gold. Immediately the news spreads and a gold rush ensues which becomes a powder keg overnight. A daring trek of gold-seeking settlers and desperadoes form a large caravan to the area. Also included is Father Benson, always concerned for the salvation of his companions. When he is murdered and then another murder occurs the suspicion falls on a group of bandits who accompany the trek. Matt Ellis, playing saloon owner and boss of the gang, invites everyone to the opening of his new establishment. Shortly thereafter the sheriff's house is blown-up with a box of dynamite. Meanwhile, the Indians have are now on the warpath and try to fight off the invaders.
