Enrica Bianchi Colombatto was born on July 22, 1942 in Gargano sul Lago, Brescia, Lombarby, Italy. She moved to Rome in the early 1960s to work in films and debuted in 1965 in the film “Agent 077 Mission Bloody Mary”, directed by Sergio Grieco. It was the first film in a long series of film work where she was known as Erika/Erica Blanc, her film work also took her into theater and television. In 2010 Erika was cast in the RAI 1 TV drama “Police”directed by Ambrogio Lo Giudice. In the theater she worked frequently with her partner Alberto Lionello until the latter's death in 1994. Blanc was married to director, screenwriter Bruno Gaburro [1939- ] from 1962-1977, and has a daughter Barbara Blanc [1970- ] who is also an actress. Blanc appeared in thirteen Euro-westerns from “Colorado Charlie” (1965) to “The Stranger and the Gunfighter” (1974). Sometimes using the alias Erica White. Today we celebrate one of the Euro-westerns leading ladies Erica Blanc on her 70th birthday.
Born in Toledo, Ohio in 1946 I have a BA degree in American History from Cal St. Northridge. I've been researching the American West and western films since the early 1980s and visiting filming sites in Spain and the U.S.A. Elected a member of the Spaghetti Western Hall of Fame 2010.
