RIP Mario Maranzana



Farewell to actor Mario Maranzana He was 82

Mario Maranzana was born in Trieste, Italy July 14, 1930, and was 82 years-old. His long career, began in 1953 in the theater opposite Vittorio Gassman in "Oedipus Rex" by Sophocles. He had worked with some of the greatest Italian actors and directors like Giorgio Strehler and Italian director Luchino Visconti. Mario was also active on the small screen: his most famous character was Inspector Lucas opposite actor Gino Cervi in the TV series "Investigations of Inspector Maigret." Maranzana appeared in seven Euro-westerns from “Epitaph for a Fast Gun” (1965) until “Apache Woman” in 1976. His funeral will be held today at 12 in the Church of the Artists in Piazza del Popolo in Rome.
